Chess on Thursday in Brussels 4

Thursday is a tournament evening in the south-east of the city. The Watermael-Boitsfort club meets from 19:00 at the WABO cultural centre, with open tournaments in the autumn and closed ones in the spring, and its Autumn Open is rated. Once a month the Ixelles Chess Club leaves its usual cafés for La Tourelle in Ixelles, where it plays Chess960; the club's page gives the third Thursday in one place and the second in another, so check its calendar.

South of the region, the Cercle d'échecs de Wavre plays at the Centre sportif de Limal from 20:00 to late evening, with a club championship split into two halves of the year. The Thursday cards carry the hours as the clubs or the federation register print them; a public holiday or a school break can move an evening.
